Hello from Preschool!
We had a great time talking about Spring, The Pond and Bugs lately. Our room is very spring-y. We made kites that are hanging from our ceiling, handprint butterflies, and chalk flowers.
We also have a new addition to our preschool room. Miss Julie’s bunny, Twinkles, lives with us at preschool now. We love Twinkles and are having fun watching her hop around and chase us.
During Pond week, we made a book about the different types of creatures that live in or by ponds. We looked at different books that showed us pictures of otters, turtles, frogs. We also made cute frog crafts.
During Bugs week, we read lots of bug books. One of our new preschool favorites is The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle. When we took a vote on our favorite bug, preschoolers decided they like lightning bugs best.
Our big excitement in preschool happened out on our playground when we saw a snake. Luckily, Ron Pleskac came over, was our hero, and took care of that snake. Now we have all mastered the “dead snake face.”
Coming up we will have our popular beach week and will have Beach Day! This is always a favorite preschool activity where we wear our swimsuits and play outside in the sprinklers.
If you have a child you would like to register for preschool for next year, please call the elementary office at 367-3779. We also will be having a registration night on May 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the elementary multipurpose room. Hope to see you there.
