State Qualifying Team of Travis L, Megan R, Dana R., and Shelby S.

David City Land Judging Students are going to State

David City had fifteen students compete in the East Central Area Land Judging contest on October 3rd near Mead, NE.  Fourteen of the students earned red, blue or purple ribbons and all four of the teams earned ribbons that were red or better.

Red ribbon individual winners included Parker M., Austin Z., Travis L., Travis W. Travis T., Adam F., Nikki R., Shelby S., Brittny B. and Chris P.  Blue ribbon winners were Megan R., and Tyler P.  Two students received purple ribbons and were in the top ten out of 154 contestants.  Dana R. was tenth and Folkert was seventh out of 154 individuals.

There were a total of 154 individuals and forty teams from eight schools.  David City's team of Tyler P., Travis W., and Chris P. finished 15th with a red team ribbon.  The team of Austin Z., Nikki R., Parker M., and Travis T. finished 13th with a red team ribbon.  Adam F., Brittny B., Folkert, and Chris S. made up the 9th place team and received a blue team ribbon.

Travis L, Megan R., Dana R., and Shelby S. made up the 6th place team and received a purple team ribbon.  Even though the team ranked 6th overall they qualify for the state contest as each school can only qualify one team for state contest.  Wilber-Clatonia had the winning team and Norris is the second state qualifier.
