First Grade
Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Behrens
April 21, 2008
The first graders are busy in the last weeks of school. They are all finding out how much they have grown in their reading and math skills.
Earth Day was celebrated on April 22. The students learned how we should all take care of our earth to make it a better place to live.
The students visited the FFA barnyard on April 25 at the high school. The children enjoyed seeing the different animals.
The lst grade will be visiting the Butler County Hospital in May to celebrate National Hospital Week. The students are learning the benefits of having such a good hospital in David City.
Keep reading this summer! Please try to get to the public library to check out books. We will not be sending anymore Book It materials home in May.
Thank-you again, to the parents and volunteers who helped in first grade, throughout the year. It has been a successful year and a joy to work with these young children.
