The year is coming to a close. The fifth graders have been busy finishing up assessments in math, science, social studies, and language arts. Oh What a busy time!
In Social Studies, we continue to learn the history of our country. Students are becoming aware of the events that led up to the Civil War. They have learned about the difficulties the colonists had to deal with in order to survive as a nation. The class has also learned about the causes and effects of the Civil War
The
fifth graders have been learning about the circulatory and
respiratory systems. They have learned the main parts and
functions of each system. They will finish up the year with
an Invention unit .They will learn about famous inventors and their
inventions as well as invent some creative inventions using
everyday items. They will also be creating new ice-cream and
toothpaste flavors and then advertising their new product.
Hopefully every
one got to watch Allegra and Adriana on Channel 10/11 as
weather reporters.
