Stanford Testing Dates

March 23 & 24, 2010 for 8th and 11th graders

Achievement testing is one tool used to measure district-wide goals set in specific areas. We can also use achievement tests to look at individual student progress. Achievement tests are different than regular classroom tests in that some of the material will be unfamiliar to the students. In knowing this, we encourage students to do their best and to not get discouraged when they come across a problem they don't know.

We would appreciate parental support also in giving your child the confidence to keep trying even when testing is hard for them. Another item parents can be helpful with during testing is to have your child at school during the testing times, unless they are ill. Also making sure your child is getting enough hours of sleep each night, and having them eat breakfast each morning will help maximize student performance. We appreciate your cooperation during achievement testing week as we want to give each child an opportunity to do their greatest work.
