One-Act Starts Season with Public Performance
2009 Production of The Touchables
The 2009 one-act season starts for the Scouts on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at the David City Activity Center at 7:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the Scouts cannot defend their 2007-2008 Class C-1 State Championship title. This stems from the team competing this year in Class B.
This year's play, The Touchables, is a spoof of mobster movies of the past. Al Pacone and his rag-tag bunch of mobsters believe they are untouchable in the city of Chicago, until they break the rules of the Costra Nostra. Always chasing after them are Loch Ness and Sargeant Malone, who are always a day late and a dollar short on the case. In the end, the group finds out that they are all touchable, and the women find all that jazz.
