Seven Inducted into National Honor Society

Seniors Jon H and Jessica P, junior Philip P, and sophomores Seth B, Ashley F, Hllary S, and Carly B were tapped as new members into the David City High School Chapter of the National Honor Society on February 25 and were formally inducted on March 17.
The Induction Ceremony took place at noon at Winfield's. President Travis W, Vice President Nolan V, Secretary Hannah B, Treasurer Miranda F, and Historian Morgan O led a candle lighting ceremony in which the new members pledged to uphold the ideals of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Following the ceremony, members and their guests enjoyed a potluck dinner provided by the old members.
All sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a 91.5 GPA are eligible for membership. After eligible students are identified and information is obtained from those eligible and the faculty, a five-member faculty council evaluates the candidates in the areas of service, leadership, and character. From these evaluations, membership is determined.
