BERGAN INVITE--THURS. SEPT. 9, 2010
The girls' varsity race is at 4:30, the boys' varsity race is at 5:00, the JV boys and girls race is at 5:30, and the middle school boys and girls race is at 6:00. The course is at Camp Calvin Crest, near Fremont, on the south bluff of the Platte River. You can travel there one of two ways from David City. The shortest route is to take the county road blacktop to Bruno and Abie, but turn right (east) on the blacktop to Prague. Take that until you reach Hwy 79 at Prague. Turn left (north) for several miles and curve east eventually for about 1.5 miles. As the highway then curves north again, break off right on the curve and take the blacktop on east. You will eventually pass Cedar Bluffs. Continue on east for about three miles, looking for the sign to Camp Calvin Crest. Turn left (north) for about 1.8 miles to the camp.
The other route to take is highway 15 south to 92. Turn left (east) clear into Wahoo. You will intersect with highway 77 on north out of town. Continue on north as the highway becomes Nebraska highway 109 (77 will turn off east) until you reach Cedar Bluffs. Turn right (east) on 109 continuing for three miles until you reach the Camp Calvin Crest sign. Turn left (north) for 1.8 miles right into the camp.
