David City Wrestlers Finish 6th At State Meet

The David City wrestling team finished a respectable tie for 6th at the state wrestling meet held at the Qwest Center in Omaha. David City scored 74 pts. Returning home with state runner-up medals were Tanner W. at 145 lbs. and Lucas K. at 189 lbs. Placing 3rd. was Aaron R. at 152 lbs. and placing 6th was Jacob S. at 215 lbs. Nathan S. competed at 125 lbs. and went 1-2 at the state meet. Derek W. went 0-2 and lost one of the matches in overtime. Michael B. went 0-2 and lost both matches in overtime. This team was fun to coach and set several team and individual records. The team would like to thank all who supported us throughout the season and the state meet.
Team scoring: Madison 122, Mitchell 122, Wood River 106, Syracuse 100, Central City 97.5, David City 74, Battle Creek 74, North Bend 64, Crofton 63, Hastings St. Cecilia 55.5.
