Bellwood Jump Rope For Heart
Physical Education students did Jump Rope For Heart during PE classes on February 18th. All students jumped rope, jumped long ropes, partner jumps and all participated in the Grand Jump Off. Seventeen students in grades 1st through 6th grade participated in the asking for donations to the American Heart Association for their jump roping and those seventeen students raised $801.00 for the American Heart Association. The top money earners for each class will get to be the PE teacher for the day for one class period.
Congratulations to all students who participated in Jump Rope for Heart and a big thank you to the parents for their support in this important cause to fight obesity, heart disease and stroke.
Bellwood PE students are now involved in the lifetime activity of bowling. Students will learn fundamentals of different approaches and releases. The students will also do crazy pin bowling and candlestick bowling.
