The high school choir has been selected to perform in the Rotunda at the State Capital Building on March 5th at 12:35.  This is conjunction with Music in Our Schools Month, sponsored by the NE Music Educators Association.  It gives the students the show case their skills to the public and our state representatives.  They will also be performing in the concert on March 9th and the choral clinic on March 15th.

The high school band is working on music for the upcoming concert and contest the end of April.  They have completed two fund raising events with the money to go towards their spring trip to San Antonio.   They are looking forward to going ghost hunting in the old town of San Antonio.

The music theory students viewed 4 silent movies from 1903.  They created a musical score to enhance the film.  With 8 students, two students worked on a movie, each creating there score.  It was interesting to hear the differences between them.   They are have now moved on to working with GarageBand and will be creating an individual song.
