8th Grade Physical Education
The 8th graders have been working on a variety of units during first semester. We also spend two days a week in the weight room learning proper lifting techniques. We have also had a volleyball, badminton, basketball units. The 8th graders have also started working on qualifying for the Presidential Physical Fitness Awards. We have completed our All Stars Booster program.
HS Activities class,
The HS activities class has participated in volleyball, badminton, pickle ball and basketball units. They first competed each sport as an individual, then with partners. This gave them an opportunity to learn how to compete as an individual then with a team.
Fitness Training class;
After completing three cycles of different workouts and maxing out in three events-bench press, squat and deadlift-We have over 98% of the students able to bench press and squat their bodyweight and deadlift more than twice their bodyweight. We have sixteen out of thirty-four lifters who can bench press over 250 pounds.
