David City Ag/FFA Program Receive Grant
The David City Ag Program/FFA Chapter has been awarded a $2500 Governor’s Excellence Award sponsored by NIFA (Nebraska Investment Finance Authority). Any FFA chapter in the state was eligible to submit an application where as four $2500 grants were awarded along with ten $1000 grant amounts. These awards are to encourage chapters to apply technology and scientific principles as well as increased agricultural knowledge in their student, chapter and community activities. The monies will be utilized to purchase items to enhance the plant systems courses including landscaping equipment and classroom tools, floriculture materials, and basic plant production items to raise a variety of plants. In addition a lab top computer and digital camera will be purchased for the Ag classroom. The David City FFA members will receive recognition in spring during the State FFA Convention.
