The 8th grade Physical education class just completed a trial run of the Presidential Fitness and National Fitness tests. This gives the students and instructors a good idea of the student's fitness level. The 8th grade class is also spending two days a week in the weight room learning proper lifting technique.
The high school activities class is currently playing a badminton round robin tournament. The class will spend the semester working on badminton, volleyball, pickleball, basketball and bowling. The class is designed to give students an opportunity to learn activities that could keep them active throughout their lifetime.
Fitness training class had it's first week of testing the first week of September. The test is in the bench press, the squat and the deadlift. Of the 54 students in the three classes, 32 of the students have a total of over 750 pounds for the three lifts and 10 are over a 1000 pounds for the three lifts.
