SHAKE The Scout Cheerleaders support the volleyball team at a home game on August 24th with the vivid student section in the background demonstrating their Scout Pride! “[I love] when all of us cheerleaders are in the dance room having fun and listening to music!” said sophomore cheerleader Jenacy Schultz.

Senior Kaitlyn Palik is back at it again. She choreographed a new routine for the cheerleaders to perform at the pep rally and the football game TODAY! The unique thing about this year's routine is that the band will be playing the music for the cheerleaders to do their dance.

The cheerleaders have had to wake up pretty early for practice starting at either 6:30 or 7 a.m. This year's song that the band is playing for them is “Industry Baby” By Lil Nas X. When being asked how she felt about cheering to the band, newcomer cheerleader Emily Silva stated, “I’m hoping the band doesn't mess up so [we] cheerleaders don’t mess up, but I am pretty excited for this Friday!”

When Freshman Shealbea Reed agreed: “It has been more of a challenge than we thought it would be, especially when the tempo varies and we get off of our counts, but I think that we’ve got the hang of it.”

When asked what she was most excited about, Junior Lexi Harris said, “I am really excited to perform this pom routine because we put in so much effort, and I know the band did too!” Undoubtedly many people are excited about this Friday's homecoming football game, so come cheer on the Scouts!
