WOW! FCCLA

FCCLA Introduces Skills Nights to provide members with new opportunities.

The Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) organization is dedicated to developing skills in creativity, entrepreneurship, and leadership among high school and middle students. One of the ways FCCLA accomplishes this is through skill nights, where students have the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities. Skill nights provide a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity by participating in various activities such as textile projects, culinary demonstrations, and leadership development.  Skill nights promote leadership qualities by giving students the chance to organize and manage these events, taking on responsibilities, and demonstrating their ability to lead. Through FCCLA skill nights, members learn the first purpose of FCCLA, which is to provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life. On October 24th, members used sewing skills to make wristlets for themselves and other friends or family members.  Future Skills nights will include Pie Making, Aumbray Flannels, Self Defense, and Family Game night to name a few.
