I hope this finds all FCCLA members and their families well. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support and involvement in our FCCLA program. We are having an amazing year, and I believe that together, we can keep the momentum going!
Important Announcements:
1. Community Service Projects: November's service projects are now open for sign-ups in my room. Our students have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their communities through projects such as Blue Valley, Rural Food Connection, Meals on Wheels, and painting nails at the Senior Center. Please encourage your child to participate and help make a difference!
2. Fundraising: Fundraising plays a crucial role in enabling us to travel and have fun. This year, we are raising funds for a leadership opportunity in Lincoln. Join our "We Help TWO, Sock Fundraiser" by signing up to sell socks. Our next event will take place this Friday at the Junior High Wrestling Invite, starting at 4 p.m. Your support is greatly appreciated!
3. Chapter Meeting: Our next chapter meeting is scheduled for November 20th at 3:05 p.m. in the boardroom. All members need to be present and actively involved. We have exciting updates to share about competitive events. I look forward to seeing you there!
4. Families First Program: FCCLA has incredible National Programs, with family as a primary focus, this month we celebrate family. Our annual Pie Making event is a part of DCPS’s Families First program. Please sign up and will be held Nov. 20th from 4-6 p.m. This event is optional due to everyone's busy schedules, therefore, signing up in my room is essential for me to prepare accordingly. FCCLA will provide the pie tin and homemade pie dough, while you need to bring two fruit pie fillings of the same flavor. Let's create delicious memories together!
Celebrations from the Week:
I am thrilled to announce that our Winter Clothing Drive was a resounding success! Thank you to all the families who generously donated clothing items. We are currently in the process of sorting all the items, and they will soon be distributed to those in need. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.
