Bellwood Elementary is a small school with a big heart located in Bellwood, Nebraska which is approximately 12 miles from David City. We have a great staff who strives to meet the needs of all students.

Our theme for the 2025-26 school year is outer space with the slogan, Bellwood Elementary Students are out of this world.

We pride ourselves on giving students a strong academic base and having positive relationships with students. We are a PBIS school (Positive Behavior and Intervention and Supports). We take a positive approach to behavior by teaching students schoolwide expectations and rewarding positive behavior.

One of our goals for the 2025-26 school year is to improve our overall school attendance. Students who miss 5 days of school or less for this school year will get to dunk a teacher at the end of the school year. So far,for 1st semester our overall school attendance is 97.37% which is better than 96.18% for first semester of the 2024-25 school year. A special thanks to all families who are helping us improve our attendance.
