This week Kamryn Behrns broke the school record of Kills in a Season which was previously held by her sister. Last night she tied the school record of Kills in a Match and now shares it with Lauren Vandenberg. Congratulations Kamryn!

Winter Clothing Drive
FCCLA will be holding a clothing drive on Saturday, October 28th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be drop-off points at Dales, Didiers, and the David City Elementary School. Please, if you are bringing clothes, bring gently clean clothes to share.

Scout Volleyball. DC drops the 4th set 25-19, and the match 3 sets to 1. Lots of good things on the floor tonight. Time to pull everything together for the postseason! #dcscouts
Scout Volleyball. DC drops the 3rd aet 25-21 to the visitors from Neumann. Back and forth set. Scouts let a 19-17 lead slip away, and now trail 2 sets to 1. Every reason to believe we can force a 5th set. Let's go! #dcscouts
Scout Volleyball. DC drops the 2nd set, as the visiting Cavaliers storm back 25-16. Lots of good things on both sides, but the Scouts need to step up the consistency. Anybody's match right now, tied 1-1. #dcscouts
Scout Volleyball. DC Girls take down the visiting Neumann Cavaliers 25-19 in the first set. Intensity is cranked up to 10 in the gym right now. The crowd is loud, and the players came to play. Should be an entertaining night! #dcscouts
Reserve and jv volleyball both win in two sets over Bishop Neumann.
Volleyball sub-districts will be hosted at Columbus Lakeview. David City will play North Bend at 5:00 p.m. in the first round on Monday, Oct. 23.
In early October, a handful of our FFA members had the opportunity to participate in Land Judging. Afterward, students went on a tour of UNL's East Campus and visited their greenhouse facilities. Members even had the chance to propagate and take home their own money plant! Thank you to everyone who decided to attend and to UNL for being an outstanding host.

Great day to be a (Marching) Scout! #dcscouts

Seven of our David City FFA members had the opportunity to work with the State Officer Team at EDGE Conference. They learned about how FFA develops interpersonal skills that everyone can use and discussed ways to promote and improve their SAE projects.

Congratulations to the David City softball girls that received all-conference recognition. Junior Meagan Jahde was selected to the 1st team and freshman Abby Lindsley was 2nd team. SRC's Rylie Carter and Danica Watts received 2nd team and Aubree Siffring honorable mention.

DCHS FCCLA attended the District Conference held at CCC in Columbus. We had 20 out of the 365 members participate in installing District Officers, Creed Speaking, and Poster Contests. A few won door prizes as a bonus.

September and October have been eventful months for Community Service! Thank you to all the FFA members who helped with Adopt-A-Highway and our Post Office landscape Community Service projects!

Boy's District C-4 Cross Country Results

Scout Volleyball. DC takes the 3rd set at Heartland 25-17, and wins the match 3 sets to 0. Scouts found absolutely no rhythm in the final set, bur credit to the girls for grinding it out. #dcscouts
Scout Volleyball. DC takes the 2nd set at Heartland 25-7. Scouts were able to keep constant pressure on the Huskies in that set. Good communication and focus throughout. Scouts now lead 2 sets to 0. #dcscouts
Scout Volleyball. DC takes the first set from host Heartland Huskies 25-19. Pretty uneven set overall, but David City made enough plays to take the set. Looking for more consistency in the 2nd. #dcscouts
