Bellwood Elementary had a great turn out for "Artwork and Authors" our Spring Family Literacy Night. Student artwork from art class was displayed as well as a poem or piece of writing that students wrote about it. If students wanted to, they had an opportunity to read what they wrote to the entire crowd. A special thanks to Mrs. Badstieber and Mrs. Meusch for collaborating on this event and to the classroom teachers for helping students with their writing. It was such a great event to showcase our students.
Today Bellwood Elementary had a great turnout out for our final Senior Citizen Luncheon of the year. The students always enjoy having special guests at lunch.

We were met with FANTASTIC competition today. This was a great way for us to start off our season, and each competitor is coming home with the motivation to do better and practice more. We plan to work hard this week and hope to see everyone at our home meet @ DC High School on April 12th @ 9am.

Spanish 4 students from DCHS visited Bellwood Elementary for our 3rd Spanish lesson for 1st through 5th grade students. The students really enjoy these lessons from the high school students.
Shout out to sophomore Abby Lindsley for being one of 10 sophomores across the state chosen to serve on this committee for the NSAA. We are proud to have the Scouts represented!

Congratulations to our new Student Advisory Committee (SAC) members. We couldn't be more excited to welcome them on board for the next two years and continue on their mission of improving sportsmanship and leadership across our state!

Due to expected cold temperatures, the start time for the Plattsmouth Golf meet scheduled for Monday, April 7th, has been moved to 10:00am.

Congrats to the David City Golf team today in winning the Aquinas Invitational with a score of 323. Jesse Divis first place with 75. Xavier Boss 3rd place with a 76. Keaton Busch 4th place with a n 84. Cameron Hlavac 6th with an 88. Chase Kuhlman 10th with an 89.
The David City Track team had a busy two days. JV traveled to the Humphrey Invite Monday where the girls and boys both placed 5th. Varsity went to the Scotus Invite Tuesday and the girls and boys also both placed 5th. The athletes are working hard and it's showing!
