Circle of Friends is a group of unified students with a goal to support peers with special needs. We are proud of our David City group, led by Anna Kouba. They have grown from 5 to 20 members, and they spend time playing games and developing relationships.

The softball team picked up a pair of wins tonight over Logan View 10-1 and Tekemah-Herman 4-2. Congrats to Abby Lindsley for breaking the school record for strikeouts in a game with 14 against Tekemah-Herman.

The JH and JV football teams kicked off their seasons tonight with a pair of victories over East Butler. The JH won 34-18 while the JV picked up a 38-26 win.

Banking In Schools with Bank of the Valley is returning again to David City Elementary for K-6th graders! Our first date this year is September 11, 2025! For your student to participate in the program, they need to have a filled out permission form returned to the school before or on the the first day that they deposit! Prizes are given this year by how often each student deposits. More information can be found in the attached photos.

Cross Country Recap: The Cross country team competed at the Schuyler Invite on Thursday where Neil Z. had a breakout performance and the first top ten individual finish in quite a few years for the boys. Manny V. finished in 14th. Brittin V. had his highest finish ever as the third runner. The boys team finished just 6 points from third place. Jaelyn D. finished 12th in the girls race and is very close to breaking the girls' school record. Several others ran personal best at the meet. In the middle school races, Adelynn H. finished in 9th place and Cesar V. finished in 13th. The Cross Country seniors and parents were also recognized before the football game Friday night.
