It was a great day to be a Scout! We traveled to West Point with 18 young people, and 11 came home with medals. All four middle school runners medaled at West Point. Jaelyn was fifth and Aaliyah was ninth for the girls' varsity race. In the boys' varsity race, Manny ran a personal best time in taking second place. This may be the highest individual boys' place for us in over a decade. Neil medaled in eighth place. The boys' team scored a runner-up finish (our best since 2010). JV boys, John won a personal best time in first, followed by Michael in 2nd and Zayne in 3rd. Tekamah had 34, we had 35, and West Point had 36.

Circle of Friends is a group of unified students with a goal to support peers with special needs. We are proud of our David City group, led by Anna Kouba. They have grown from 5 to 20 members, and they spend time playing games and developing relationships.
