First graders at Bellwood Elementary learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin with Janessa from the Butler County Extension Office! We discovered how a pumpkin begins as a seed, grows into a leaf, then a flower, becomes a small green pumpkin, and finally turns into a big orange pumpkin!
The day is always brighter at Bellwood Elementary when we get to celebrate Stellar Students. Harris and Sawyer both received Positive Office Referrals and got to come to the office and call their parents with the good news. Good job Harris and Sawyer for being positive role models and leaders!

Book Blast 2025 is going strong! The goal of this event is to build the home library of all of our students in both buildings. The Scouts close out their season with a win over Clarkson - Leigh 45-36.
The last two smaller treasure chests have been given out in each building. Alivia and Aubree won treasure chests at David City Elementary. at Bellwood Elementary Kora and Jackson won treasure chests.

The first Blue Valley Career Fair was held at the Butler County Fairgrounds in David City, representing David City Public, East Butler and Shelby Rising City. Juniors from all three schools had the opportunity to attend breakout sessions and speak with 17 different businesses in the local area. The David City community stepped up and had 7 business partners represented: 402 Floral, DCPD, AKRS, Bank of the Valley, Butler County Power, AGP and Butler County Health Center. Thank you to our community for supporting our students!
