Today was the final day of the 2025-26 school year to recognize Positive Office Referrals at Bellwood Elementary, and we were able to celebrate 5 of them! Dax, Bentley, Sophia, Reanna, and Mary all were honored as Stellar Students for displaying different positive character traits. What made today even more exciting is that it was the first Positive Office Referral that three of these students have ever received. This was an amazing way to end the day!
3-6 Elementary Field Day Schedule for Friday, May 15th. Running events start at 10:50am, while field events will begin around 1:30.
David City Third Graders had another amazing opportunity with the 4H Extension Office this week! 🤖✨
Students learned all about Ozobots and practiced their coding skills by creating different color code patterns to guide the robots. They then got creative and designed their own unique codes before finishing with one giant collaborative code path for the Ozobots to follow!

DCE and Bellwood 5th graders enjoyed their trip to Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora. It was a fun, hands-on day of science!

Bellwood Elementary welcomed some very special guests this morning as DCHS graduating seniors who once attended the elementary school here returned to walk the halls one final time. It was a meaningful moment for students and staff to celebrate these graduates.

On her last day, Kaylee chose to give her Senior Shirt to Mrs. Valentine. This new tradition allows seniors to recognize and thank a staff member who made a meaningful impact on their high school experience. Thank you, Mrs. Valentine, for the difference you make in the lives of our students!

A bright spot in the day at Bellwood Elementary was handing out Positive Office Referrals to Deacon, Anekon, and Raycen. These three are all Stellar Students in different ways for displaying positive character traits that we want to see displayed by our students. Congratulations!
