David City Elementary hosted "Books with a Buddy" earlier this week, bringing preschool students and their families together for a special afternoon focused on early literacy. Thanks to Amy Richards and ESU 7 for making this event possible through grant funding.
Families enjoyed creating a book together, receiving a new book to take home, and capturing the moment with a photo. The turnout was fantastic, and the positive feedback highlights how meaningful this time was for both students and their guests.

They spent the day learning about inclusion, exploring unified activities, and finding new ways to make our school more inclusive for everyone. The day ended with lots of energy and cheers at the unified basketball game! 🏀
We are proud of this group for leading the way!
