🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️🛴 David City Elementary’s Spring Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day was a huge hit! Several students took the opportunity to participate and enjoy a fun, active start to the day.

Downtown Bellwood was buzzing with activity this morning as Bellwood Elementary hosted our Annual Spring Walk, Bike, or Roll to School Day! Despite the brisk weather, students and staff embraced the fresh air, enjoying both the exercise and time to connect. It's always a student favorite and a great way to start the day!

A great start to the day! Our National Honor Society students were out bright and early, welcoming elementary students during Walk or Ride Your Bike to School Day. Their friendly greetings and energy helped create a fun, positive atmosphere as students started their day.

Tonight, Bellwood Elementary and David City Elementary hosted the 4th–6th Grade Music and Band Concert! 🎶🎺🎤

Our students showcased their hard work, dedication, and talent as they performed the music they had been preparing. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making it a wonderful evening of music and support!

Today's Senior Spotlights are Coleigh and Lorelai.

Beautiful day for the SNC Track Meet and the performances matched the weather. Our athletes showed up ready to compete, delivering multiple PRs across the board. The girls team put together a strong overall effort, earning an impressive 3rd place finish. Great day to be on the track!

Kambri Andel had an outstanding day at the SNC Track Meet, earning championship titles in two events! She claimed 1st place in both the 100m dash and long jump, and set a new personal record and SCHOOL RECORD in the long jump with a leap of 18'1", breaking her previous mark of 18'0". A great day of competition and an impressive performance!

David City Elementary's spring Walk, Bike, & Roll to school day is this Wednesday May 6, 2026.

4th graders at Bellwood Elementary tested their Nebraska History knowledge by competing as teams in escape rooms. All teams escaped, so they must have learned a lot about Nebraska History this year. Thanks for to Janessa Bergman from Nebraska Extension in Butler County for once again providing a great learning opportunity for our students.

Our 3rd graders in David City have been digging into learning! 🌱🪱

Students explored the different types of soil and discovered the layers that make up the ground beneath our feet. To bring their learning to life, they wrapped up the lesson with a fun (and delicious!) hands-on activity—creating “dirt cups” to represent each soil layer.

A big thank you to Janessa from the 4-H Extension Office for visiting our classroom and making this learning experience so engaging and memorable. We appreciate you sharing your time and expertise with our students!

Bank of the Valley’s Banking in Schools Program celebrated students who made at least 11 deposits with a pizza party! 🍕💰

David City Elementary had 26 students qualify for this special recognition. We are proud of our students for developing strong saving habits and learning the importance of financial responsibility at an early age. Thank you to Bank of the Valley for supporting this great program!

Kendra had her very first Positive Office Referral at Bellwood Elementary today. She is a Stellar Student because of her hard work, determination and the growth she has made this year. It's always a positive day when we get to celebrate one of these.
