During my time at David City I completed my Master’s Degree in P-8 Educational Leadership and Administration in 2013 from Wayne State College. In 2019, I became an Assistant Athletic Director and K-8 Physical Education teacher for East Butler Public Schools in Brainard, NE. I am excited to be the Activities Director at David City Public Schools.

David City Public Schools would like to welcome Mrs. Caroline Wilson to Scout Nation as the 6th grade teacher at David City Elementary.
"Hi there! My name is Caroline Wilson and I will be teaching 6th grade and will be an assistant coach for Junior High volleyball and track as well. I am originally from Big Springs, NE which is 18 miles west of Ogallala, NE (it is a pretty small town). I graduated from South Platte in 2019 and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, which I graduated from in May 2023. This will be my first year teaching and I am excited to start my career here! I am the oldest of 5 siblings. I come from a farming community/family so being around the area makes it feel more like home. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband, reading, watching movies, and spending time back west on my family's farm. I am looking forward to all of the relationships I'll make and everyone I'll meet!" Caroline Wilson.
Welcome, Mrs. Wilson!

Concussion testing will be today from 3-5. Please enter through the southwest door of the high school. All 7th, 9th, and 11th graders and any new student going out for sports will have to do this prior to participating.

David City Public Schools would like to welcome Mr. Austin Schafer to Scout Nation as the K-12 Library Media Specialist. Mr. Schafer will be working in all 3 buildings this school year.
Meet Austin Schafer. He is excited to take on a new job at the David City Schools in the Library. He grew up in Michigan and went to college at Concordia University and UNK. In high school, he loved running track, and now he's thrilled to coach track for David City.
Austin is married and has two kids named Piper and Willow. His wife, Charity, is a teacher at a small elementary school in Staplehurst, NE. They've been living in David City for the last 5 years and love the town and its friendly people.
Austin has been teaching in Columbus for the past five years, but now he's starting a new adventure in the library. He's really looking forward to helping students explore, research, and learn about the world using technology and the resources available at the library.
Besides being a teacher, Austin has cool hobbies too! He loves woodworking and fixing things around the house. But one of his favorite things to do is ride his bike, and he's excited that he can now ride it to work.
This new role at the David City Library makes Austin super excited. He can't wait to use technology to help students learn and grow. He is hoping to meet lots of people in town and become more involved in the community.
Welcome, Mr. Schafer!

David City Public Schools would like to welcome Mrs. Laura Warriner to Scout Nation as the 3rd grade teacher at Bellwood Elementary.

Mrs. Warriner is looking forward to teaching at Bellwood because it’s closer to home and she enjoys teaching in a small school setting. Mrs. Warriner recently moved to Bruno with her husband Shaun and their three children. Two of her children go to David City Elementary School so she is excited to be a Scout just like them! In her spare time Mrs. Warriner enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She is looking forward to getting to know her students and their families. Go Scouts!
Welcome, Mrs. Warriner!

David City Public Schools would like to welcome Mr. Haden Richters to Scout Nation as the 5th grade teacher at David City Elementary.
This is Haden’s first year of teaching. He can’t begin to tell you how excited he is to get started and meet all students, staff, families, and other community members!

He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia University-Nebraska. When he is not teaching 5th grade, Haden will be an assistant high school football coach as well as an assistant junior high boys basketball coach.
The reason Haden chose David City Elementary is because it reminds him of the educational environment and community he grew up in and loved so much. Haden can't wait to build positive relationships with his students, their families, and the district at large.
Welcome, Mr. Richters!

David City Public Schools would like to welcome Mr. Bob Fish to Scout Nation as the Secondary Guidance Counselor at David City High School.

He was previously the Guidance Counselor at Centennial High School for 15 years and spent the last year as the Admissions Counselor for his alma mater, Hastings College.
