I'm Jane Kroese and I'm going to teach 3rd grade in David City this year. I'm looking forward to getting to know my students and fellow colleagues. I love teaching and see myself as a lifelong learner.
I moved from Brady, NE where I was the 6th grade homeroom teacher and taught 4th, 5th, 6th grade math. I grew up in Arthur, NE then moved to Kansas to be closer to my grandparents so my parents could help take care of them. I attended college at Emporia State in Emporia, KS and also received my Master's as an Instructional Coach from there. I have taught 2nd, 3rd and 6th grade in my thirteen years of experience. So, I'm excited to teach 3rd grade again!
One fun fact about me is I like to travel. I have been to many places and you guessed it, I usually end up being places I can learn and experience more. I have been to Pennsylvania, Arizona, South Dakota, Florida and more. I have enjoyed exploring National Parks and staying in the United States. I'm so excited to join the Scout Nation!

Karlie grew up in West Point, NE and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. She also earned her master’s degree in Educational Administration from UNL. She will be starting her 9th year of teaching this year and is excited to be starting at David City. She has previously taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade starting out in Beatrice and has been in Lincoln the last 6 years. Outside of school, Karlie loves to spend time playing and watching volleyball. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling. Karlie is engaged and busy planning a September wedding with Lynn Hanson who teaches at the high school. She is excited to be back in a small community and is looking forward to a great school year!

Payton is from David City, NE. This spring, she earned her degree in Elementary Education and K-6 Health & Physical Education from Wayne State College. She did her student teaching in 4th grade and PE at Wayne Elementary School. This will be Payton's first year of teaching! She will also be helping coach the high school girls volleyball and basketball teams.
Payton is very excited to return to her alma mater; she feels so grateful for the opportunity to come back to the school and community she loves as a teacher and coach. In her first year of teaching, Payton is most looking forward to building relationships with the amazing students, staff, and athletes within the district!
A few fun facts about Mrs. Eickmeier...
1. Her favorite movie is The Sandlot.
2. She has traveled to 23 of the 50 US states and hopes to make it to all of them!
3. Her husband, Harley, attended elementary school at Bellwood and also graduated from DCHS.

With 32 years of teaching experience, I bring a deep passion for education and a strong commitment to supporting students of all abilities. I earned my endorsements in K-12 Special Education and Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and completed my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Doane College.
My husband and I have called David City home for the past 15 years. We have two wonderful daughters—Maggie (29) and Abbie (28)—who both live in Omaha. I enjoy walking, reading, and watching Oklahoma Sooners softball.
I am both honored and excited to serve the students of David City and to work in the town we proudly call home. I look forward to getting to know the families in our community and being part of their educational journey.
